I first properly listened to Sigur Rós about 2 years ago & I fell in love with what I heard straight away, it was just weirdly brilliant I thought. Well late last year I got to actually go to Iceland (their home country) for about 4 days. During which I spent one whole day on a tour around some key areas near Reykjavik & I made an effort to listen to every album they did on my iPod whilst on said tour, that totally made the experience of being there wonderful!!.

I keep thinking about that week to this day & therefore had the urge to put together a bunch of ace tracks done by them.

I must tell everyone that you really have to go there & experience Iceland in all its beauty, but please… take a camera & a lot of film, because you‘ll need it!!

WOW! Was what I said after first hearing UNKLE’S “Psyence Fiction” album when it was released way back int 98, their second album was called “Never Never Land“, which came out in 2003, I’ll be honest & say I wasn’t sure about that one at first, mainly due to DJ Shadow not being involved with it, but after a few listens it totally grew on me & now they’ve got their 3rd studio album coming out in July, its called “War Stories“ & you should all buy it!

In homage I thought I’d throw together a selection of their best works & an ace remix they did, there really was so many more tracks I wanted to put in aswell, but seriously this podcast would be way too long if I used them all.

But because of that I am pondering whether to do an UNKLE selection part 2... anywho!, enjoy this beauty!
